Developing Tomorrow's Champions, Today!!!

The Formula America Championship provides wheel to wheel competition in identically prepared Mygale M14 Formula Americas race cars with the latest technology and FIA safety standards showcasing each driver’s talent, not their checkbookA full season of racing in Formula America costs $125,000 and consists of 21 races held over 7 race event weekends at some of the most popular circuits in America. Formula America is a "One Make, One Team, One Cost" Series producing an equal playing field for all participants and at the most affordable price of any professional racing series in North America. All 21 races count towards the Series Championship with a $175,000 Prize purse at the end of the season.

                Champion             $75,000

                2nd Place             $50,000

                3rd Place              $25,000

                4th Place               $15,000

                5th Place               $10,000

Each event includes 2.5  to 3 hours of track time consisting of a 30-minute free practice session, a 30-minute qualifying session and three feature races. Our races are based on number of laps, not a time limit, thereby providing our drivers with the maximum amount of green flag racing possible. Our goal is 30 minutes of green flag racing for every race and our drivers will receive the proper coaching to help make that happen. The Series is limited to 20 drivers and season entry is on a first come, first served basis.

There is a mandatory 2-day Official Test in February for drivers to get acquainted with their cars and crew. This Official Test is included in the Season entry. Drivers will keep their same car and crew throughout the season. We want our drivers to become familiar with their cars and the race operation.

The main Championship is open to drivers ages 15-35 who are graduates of accredited racing schools. Drivers who hold a racing license from a recognized sanctioning body or series are also eligible to compete. The minimum age is 15 years old. Special consideration will be given to a driver who will be turning 15 during the year, but has not reached that age at the beginning of the season. There will be a Masters Championship for drivers 36 years of age and older.

The Series will have some of North America's top driver coaches in attendance to assist every driver in their advancement in racing. And drivers are welcome to have their own personal driver coaches as well. In addition, during most events while we are not on track we will be holding informative classes with well-respected guest speakers on such subjects as media training, marketing and sponsorships, physical training, and more to provide our drivers with a well rounded program to prepare them as they rise through the sport of professional racing.

All cars are owned by the Series, maintained and set up to be identical by the Series' engineers to ensure a level playing field for all drivers in the Championship. There will be some individual adjustments allowed, but they will be limited to roll bar settings and wing angles. Formula America is a Driver's Series. There is no need to purchase your own car, maintain it and transport it or pay a team to run you. We take care of all of that. All you need to do is concentrate on driving. Drivers may request testing dates not included in the Series schedule at an additional fee. However, all drivers in the Championship must be notified of these dates and be allowed to participate.

Formula America is an all inclusive racing series where your only other expenses are your personal travel, hotel accommodations, helmet, HANS and any on-track damage. Formula America offers optional insurance for on-track damage for $950 per event or $6,300 for the season that covers up to $25,000 in damage per event with a $6,000 deductible. Included in your full season entry is a custom designed Series specific MIR driving suit, Nomex underwear, socks, matching shoes and gloves. Formula America drivers also receive a Series branded polo shirt and jacket as well.

The total all-inclusive cost for a full season in Formula America is USD $125,000 and made in payments as follows;

$15,000 due with signed entry form (secures your spot in the Championship & Official Test)

  $50,000 due March 1, 2019

  $30,000 due June 1, 2019

  $30,000 due September 1, 2019

We can provide you with materials to help you attract sponsors and we can be available to you to meet with your sponsor to help close the deal. The season is limited to 20 drivers, so the sooner you get your entry in, the sooner you can lock in your spot on the grid. Because of the response that we are receiving, we are excepting registrations now without payment, so that everyone gets the opportunity to secure their spot. We will not begin taking payments until later this year, but you can still reserve your spot now. Registration forms and driver suit sizing charts are available to download at the bottom of this page.

All Series drivers are urged to visit the Formula America shop in Sebring, Florida in January to have their custom seat fitted and pedals adjusted, prior to the first Official Test. A professionally built, custom-made seat insert is required by the Series and is included in the entry fee.

Formula America will have a Winter Series (starting December 2019) held in the southeast which will consist of three double header events (6 races). These events will be in the same format as the Championship Series with 2-day events to enable our drivers not to have to miss school or work.

Formula America was designed to provide a level playing field for drivers entering the world of auto racing from karting or other avenues at a cost that is reasonable, while providing state of the art race cars in a competitive venue at some of the most popular race circuits in North America.

It is our belief that participation in Formula America will provide the proper driving experience to prepare drivers for a career in professional racing at the next step on the ladder and at a price that won’t break the bank. There is no need to spend all your money in the beginning of your career, when you're going to need it as you climb the ladder. A driver coming from karting or other entry level formula will gain the proper experience in Formula America to excel in either the Road to Indy or junior formula in Europe without spending a ton of money in the process.

All of whom are focused on giving 100% to all of our drivers to prepare them for the world of professional racing.
